Almaty, February 2 (Xinhua) — Dushanbe: From 18:00 on February 1 to 1am on February 2 local time, the giant electronic screen of the landmark Ludaki Building in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, lit up in “Chinese red” to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Snake.
This is the first time that Dushanbe Municipal Government has held the activity of lighting up “China Red” to celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival. Hundreds of people stopped to watch and took group photos to share the joy and blessings of the Chinese Spring Festival.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the Dushanbe Municipal Government gave strong support to this event to express their wishes for the Chinese people in the New Year and their ardent expectations for the further development of friendly cooperation between Tajikistan and China.
