US institution files class action lawsuit requesting court to restore legal status of revoked visa international student

On April 19th, several branches of the American Civil Liberties Union, a civil rights organization, filed a class action lawsuit in New Hampshire on April 18th, requesting that the federal court restore the legal status of international students who were deprived of their visas during the Trump administration’s crackdown. According to university statements reviewed by the Associated Press, communications with school officials, and court records, at least 1075 students from 170 colleges, universities, and university systems have been affected since the end of March.
