On May 4th, local time, the “Humanitarian Action Coordination Center” controlled by the Houthis announced a decision to prohibit ships exporting, re exporting, transporting, loading, purchasing, transferring or selling US crude oil from US ports from passing through the Red Sea, the Strait of Mandeb, the Gulf of Aden, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean, and stated that these ships may become targets of attack anywhere the Houthis can strike.
