On the evening of May 11th, local time, explosions were heard again in the Indian controlled Kashmir region. Regional official Omar Abdullah posted on social media that explosions were heard in central Srinagar. Earlier that day, Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dahl said on social media that Pakistan and India agreed to an immediate ceasefire. On the same day, Indian Foreign Secretary Tang Yongsheng announced at a press conference that India had reached a ceasefire agreement with Pakistan. Tang Yongsheng stated that the Pakistani military operations commander called the Indian military operations commander at 3:35 pm on the 10th. Both sides have reached an agreement to cease all land, sea, and air exchanges and military operations starting from 17:00 Indian Standard Time.
