A reporter from the Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily learned that there has been a new development in the patent lawsuit between China’s third-generation semiconductor company Innolux and international chip giant Infineon. The Supreme People’s Court has made a final ruling, rejecting the jurisdictional objection appeals raised by Infineon China and Wuxi companies, and confirming the jurisdiction of the Suzhou Intermediate People’s Court over the case. In January 2025, InnoTech (Suzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. announced that the company and its wholly-owned subsidiaries are suing Infineon China, Infineon Wuxi, and Xinwoke for patent infringement. Infineon raised a jurisdictional objection, but it was rejected by the Suzhou Intermediate People’s Court in the first instance. Afterwards, Infineon appealed to the Supreme People’s Court.
