On May 11th, local time, on May 10th, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif stated in a national speech celebrating the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India that Pakistan hopes to resolve India’s water resource allocation and Kashmir issues through peaceful dialogue. Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dahl said on social media on the 10th that Pakistan and India have agreed to an immediate ceasefire. On the same day, Indian Foreign Secretary Tang Yongsheng announced at a press conference that India had reached a ceasefire agreement with Pakistan. Tang Yongsheng stated that the Pakistani military operations commander called the Indian military operations commander at 3:35 pm on the 10th. Both sides have reached an agreement to cease all land, sea, and air exchanges and military operations starting from 17:00 Indian Standard Time.
