On May 11th, the Israeli Defense Forces announced that their military operations in Syria are still ongoing and they are continuously monitoring the situation in Syria. The Israeli military stated that troops from the 210th Division have been deployed in the area and will assess the situation and respond accordingly. The unit is ready to prevent hostile forces from entering Druze villages and provide support to the Syrian Druze people in the area. Due to factors such as years of civil war, there is a lack of mutual trust between different ethnic groups and sects in Syria. On April 28th, a recording containing blasphemous religious content spread on social media, reportedly from a Druze person. Suspected to be affected by the recording incident, multiple clashes and attacks have occurred in two Druze settlements located in the southeast and southwest of the Syrian capital Damascus in recent days.
