On May 13th, the People’s Daily reported that the high-level economic and trade talks between China and the United States were held in Geneva, Switzerland from May 10th to 11th. Through the joint efforts of both sides, this meeting was frank, in-depth, and constructive, reaching important consensus and making substantial progress. Both sides unanimously agreed to establish a China US economic and trade consultation mechanism, taking an important step towards resolving differences through equal dialogue and consultation, laying the foundation and creating conditions for further bridging differences and deepening cooperation.
