On May 17th, the dam construction of the Mohmand Hydropower Station project in Pakistan, which is under the general contracting of China Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group, officially started, marking the key construction stage and comprehensive acceleration stage of this national flagship project in Pakistan. The Mohmand Hydropower Station integrates power generation, flood control, irrigation, and water supply, and is a comprehensive large-scale infrastructure project that the Pakistani government is promoting. The project is located on the Swat River in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, northwestern Pakistan. It officially started construction on September 20, 2019, with a total installed capacity of 800000 kilowatts.
