On May 17th, the commemoration of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day 2025 and the 160th anniversary of the establishment of the International Telecommunication Union was held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Chairman of the Chinese Society of Communications, attended the event and pointed out that China has built the world’s leading and largest information and communication network, integrated 5G applications into 86 of 97 national economic categories, achieved full coverage of 41 industrial categories, promoted the accelerated layout of artificial intelligence, low altitude economy, etc., and effectively promoted the deep integration of the real economy and the digital economy.
