On May 19th, a research team from the University of Texas at Austin published an innovative study in the journal Chemistry: they developed a new information encoding and decoding method, which achieved data storage by synthesizing polymer molecules and used this method to encode and decode information. This is the first attempt to write information into the basic units of plastic and read this information using electrical signals, making it possible to store information in everyday materials.
