Caracas, October 28 (Xinhua) — The Chinese Embassy in Venezuela and the Venezuelan Federation of Industry, Commerce and Agriculture jointly held a themed seminar on “Promoting High Level Opening up to the outside world and Building Inclusive Economic Globalization” in Caracas on October 28, with more than 300 representatives from China and Venezuela in attendance.
At the seminar, representatives from the Venezuelan business community highly praised the broad development opportunities brought by China’s high-level opening-up to Venezuela, and expressed their willingness to work together with China to seize opportunities, respond to challenges, inject more vitality into bilateral cooperation, and jointly write a new chapter of cooperation between Venezuela and China.
Chinese Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Lan Hu, said in his speech that unilateralism and protectionism are rampant, and China is willing to embrace the world with a higher level of openness. The Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC deliberated and adopted the “Fifteenth Five Year Plan” proposal. China will steadily expand institutional openness, and jointly build the “the Belt and Road” with high quality, providing broad space for Venezuela’s export and foreign investment attraction.
Venezuelan Foreign Trade Minister Godoy stated that China’s proposal of global governance initiative promotes global inclusiveness and win-win cooperation, leading a new direction for the world economy in the new era. As an all-weather strategic partner, China has become the main export destination for Venezuela’s agricultural and fishery products. Based on the historical foundation of bilateral economic and trade cooperation and the beautiful vision of building a multipolar world, Venezuela will take China as an example and promote more Venezuela products to go to China and the world.
