The reporter learned from the meeting that the center will provide cross-border cold chain transportation services to markets such as Europe and Central Asia, and simultaneously release the 2026 cold chain product operation plan for the China Europe freight train (Chengdu Chongqing). The conference also launched the “China Europe Railway Express (Chengdu Chongqing) Cross border Cold Chain International Cooperation” initiative, promoting the deepening integration of cold chain transportation in channels, trade, industry and other links.
As a typical case, the small golden apples from the plateau production area of Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province have achieved the first batch of exports through the cold chain transportation of the China Europe freight train. Thanks to the stable temperature control and fully traceable logistics solution, apples can be picked, sorted, and delivered to overseas warehouses in Europe in just over ten days.
The normalized transportation of cold chain provides us with efficient and stable guarantees, allowing small golden apples to safely and fresh reach consumers in Europe and Central Asia, “said Xiang Bin, General Manager of Aba Shanzuo Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. It is expected that the monthly average transportation volume of related products can reach 100 tons.
Pang Jianhua, chairman of Chengdu International Railway Port Investment Development Co., Ltd., said that in order to promote the construction of national backbone cold chain bases, Chengdu International Railway Port continued to make efforts on the characteristic cold chain trains such as fresh fruits, frozen meat, biomedicine, etc., to help the high-quality development of the western inland cold chain industry.
The launch of the cold chain distribution center will further enhance the service capabilities of the China Europe freight train (Chengdu Chongqing), injecting new momentum into the Chengdu Chongqing region to promote the construction of an international land port hub, improve cross-border supply chain systems, and enhance regional coordination and openness.
