On May 4th, the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council appointed Salim Saleh bin Brick as the new Prime Minister of Yemen. Salim served as the Minister of Finance of the Yemeni government before his appointment. Earlier on the 3rd, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak issued a statement stating that he had submitted his resignation from the position of Prime Minister after meeting with the Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Ali Mi. Mubarak stated that he has made every effort to restore state institutions and combat corruption, but still faces many difficulties and challenges. Therefore, he has submitted his resignation.
