Ajit Jahn: Berkshire Hathaway will adopt a ‘wait-and-see’ attitude towards AI applications in the insurance industry

On May 3rd, when asked about the impact of artificial intelligence on the insurance business, Berkshire Hathaway’s head of insurance business, Ajit Jahn, spoke for the first time. He stated that artificial intelligence will become a true disruptor in the fields of insurance and risk pricing. However, Berkshire Hathaway will adopt a “wait-and-see” attitude towards AI applications in the insurance industry and has not yet invested a lot of energy or funds to seize this opportunity. Jahn also pointed out that many people in the field of artificial intelligence are ultimately spending huge amounts of money chasing the next fashion trend, and Berkshire Hathaway is not good at being a pioneer in the next fashion thing.
