On May 16, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye announced that Turkish Foreign Minister Ferdan held talks with US Secretary of State Rubio during his attendance at the NATO Foreign Ministers’ Informal Meeting in Antalya on the same day, focusing on a series of regional and global hot spot topics such as the Russia Ukraine war, the Palestine Israel conflict, and the Iranian nuclear issue. The two sides stressed that dialogue should be the priority path to resolve the conflict between Russia-Ukraine conflict, and the ceasefire should be promoted through negotiations. They also said that they would continue to support Russia and Ukraine to carry out direct dialogue and promote substantive progress in diplomatic efforts.
