On May 17th, local time, the Ukrainian National Security Service announced that the Joint Coordination Center for the Search and Release of Prisoners of War under the Ukrainian National Security Service has begun preparations for a “thousand to thousand” exchange program for detained individuals. At present, the Ukrainian National Security Service is compiling a list of Russian military personnel who are being detained in Ukraine and may be exchanged to Russia. In addition, the Ukrainian National Security Service is working with the Ukrainian Ministry of Health and other institutions to prepare for the reception of Ukrainian soldiers currently detained by Russia.
