Southern California Edison Electric Company submits $6.2 billion wildfire mitigation plan

On May 17th, Southern California Edison Electric Power Company submitted a wildfire mitigation plan for 2026-2028 to the California Office of Energy Infrastructure Security, during which it will invest $6.2 billion to install hundreds of miles of underground distribution lines and continue to support aerial firefighting assets throughout the service area, including the world’s largest helicopter tanker with night firefighting capabilities.
