Manila, September 10 (Xinhua) — The launch ceremony of the 2025 “Silk Road Book Fragrance: Four Seas Spreading Fortune” book exhibition, jointly organized by the Straits Publishing and Distribution Group and the Philippine Chinese Education Center, was held on the afternoon of September 10 at the Fujian Pavilion of the Manila International Book Fair.
This touring exhibition showcases over a hundred high-quality books from multiple publishing houses under the Strait Publishing and Distribution Group, and is accompanied by a digital reading platform and distinctive cultural and creative exhibits.
Huang Weizhou, Chairman of the Straits Publishing and Distribution Group, stated in his speech that the group will continue to tell the stories of China and Fujian well, and work together with various sectors in the Philippines to expand more high-quality cultural exchange platforms.
Huang Duanming, Chairman of the Philippine Chinese Education Center, said that the center has maintained good cooperation with the Chinese publishing industry, especially the publishing industry in Fujian, for a long time. The scale of the Fujian exhibition group has reached a new high, further building a bridge for cultural exchanges between the two peoples.
The Manila International Book Fair, founded in the 1980s, is the largest and longest running book exhibition in the Philippines. The Manila International Book Fair 2025 will be held from September 10th to 14th.
