The China Indonesia Forum on Cultural Exchange was held in Jakarta

Jakarta, September 25th (Xinhua) – The China Indonesia Forum on Cultural Exchange and the launch of the new book “China’s Image in Indonesia’s Eyes: Research on Cultural Exchange between China and Indonesia” were held in Jakarta, Indonesia on the 25th. Nearly a hundred scholars, publishers from both countries, as well as teachers and students from the Adiyaksa Law School of the Indonesian Prosecutor General’s Office, attended to discuss cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Adila, Director of the Indonesia China Law, Culture, and Investment Research Center at the Adiyaksa Law School of the Indonesian Prosecutor General’s Office, said that from the Bandung Conference to the joint construction of a China Indonesia community with a shared future, the two countries have continuously deepened exchanges in the fields of education, law, and culture. Cultural exchange is the cornerstone of promoting understanding and trust between the two peoples. The newly published book provides academic reference for understanding China’s image in Indonesian society and promoting pragmatic exchanges between the two sides in the future.

Al Busila Bashnur, President of the Indonesia China Friendship Association, said that reading helps promote cultural exchanges and people to people connections between China and Indonesia. The book published this time will inject new vitality into the cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education and culture. Li Kailong, General Manager of Renmin University Press of China, stated that the published books not only showcase the original research of Indonesian scholars on China’s image, but also provide references for cultural exchanges between the two countries with detailed data and practical suggestions.
