Xinhua News Agency, Sofia, September 30 (Reporter Lin Hao) – On September 29, President of the Bulgarian National Assembly Kiselova said that Bulgaria is closely following the progress of the joint construction of the “the Belt and Road” between the two countries and is willing to actively participate in the cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries.
On that day, the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria held a reception to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Kiselova, Vice Speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament Ganev, ambassadors from multiple countries stationed in Bulgaria, as well as more than 500 overseas Chinese, Chinese enterprises, and students studying abroad attended the reception.
Kiselova stated that Bulgaria is willing to strengthen mutual visits and exchanges between the legislative bodies of the two countries, tap into their potential, enhance cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, investment, and connectivity, and deepen cultural exchanges.
Dai Qingli, Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria, said that China and Bulgaria have achieved fruitful results in the past decade of jointly building the “the Belt and Road” cooperation. China is willing to work with Bulgaria to seize the opportunity, deepen cooperation and promote stable and long-term relations between China and Bulgaria.
