Jakarta, January 10 (Xinhua) — Indonesian Minister of Economic Affairs, Alonga, stated at the 20th anniversary celebration of the establishment of the Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Jakarta on the 9th that Indonesia welcomes Chinese enterprises to carry out deeper cooperation in key areas that are in line with Indonesia’s national development agenda.
Elronga stated that the Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce has developed into one of the most influential chambers of commerce in Indonesia. I encourage the Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and its members to continue to play an active role in promoting mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation, supporting Indonesia in achieving sustainable and inclusive economic growth. I hope that China Indonesia cooperation will continue to deepen and make greater contributions to the prosperity of both countries
Ailangga said that Chinese enterprises are welcome to invest and cooperate in key areas such as high-quality infrastructure and logistics, industrial downstream and manufacturing, clean and renewable energy, digital economy, food security, healthcare, and human capital development.
Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Wang Lutong stated in his speech that China and Indonesia are both developing countries, emerging market countries, and major forces in the global South. The relationship between the two countries has significant strategic significance and far-reaching global impact.
The Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce was established in 2005 and currently has over 500 active members. Representatives from government departments such as the Chairman of the Indonesian National Economic Council, Luhut, the Minister of Population Mobility, Iftittah, and the Deputy Attorney General, Narendra, as well as more than 600 people from the Chinese and Indonesian business communities and members of the Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, attended the celebration event.
