Xinhua Hangzhou, March 29 The first race of the 2026 “the Belt and Road” Bicycle Series of State Envoys to China was held in Yiwu, Zhejiang Province on March 29. Han Shunyuan and Li Si won individual championships in men’s and women’s road groups respectively.
As the opening battle of the 2026 new season of this series, this station has categories such as men’s road group, women’s road group, embassy group, and cycling group, attracting over 500 cycling enthusiasts from home and abroad to participate.
The total length of the road group track is about 26 kilometers, and the total length of the cycling group track is about 14 kilometers, which ingeniously connects the local cultural and tourism landmarks such as the Shili Peach Blossom Forest, Mount Huangshan Bamian Hall, and Huangxi Scenic Area in Shangxi Town, Yiwu. During the cycling process, the athletes immerse themselves in the ecological background of Yiwu’s “green mountains and clear waters” and appreciate the thriving atmosphere of rural revitalization in Shangxi.
After intense competition, Han Shunyuan and Li Si won individual championships in the men’s and women’s road groups respectively, Roddy from Ukraine won the championship in the envoy group to China, and the Avengers House Fushi Racing Team and Bigrock Big Stone Chariot Racing Team won team championships in the men’s and women’s road groups respectively.
It is reported that the competition is jointly launched by the Self Sword Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and the China Cycling Association, inviting ambassadors to China, representatives of enterprises in China, international students, and domestic cycling enthusiasts to participate. 2026 is the fourth year of the event, with plans to hold six stations: Yiwu Station in Zhejiang, Hefei Station in Anhui, Zhengzhou Airport Station in Henan, Shaya Station in Xinjiang, Leshan Station in Sichuan, and Yangjiang Station in Guangdong.
