From May 10 to 11, Wang Junzheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Xizang Autonomous Region, and Yan Jinhai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Xizang Autonomous Region and Chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Region, led a party and government delegation to Shanghai for an investigation. The site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, located at 76 Xingye Road, is the spiritual home of the CPC people and the place where our party’s dream sets sail. The party and government delegations of the Xizang Autonomous Region collectively paid tribute to the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China Memorial Hall, visited the “Great Beginning – Exhibition of the Founding History of the CPC”, and relived that glorious period of time through precious cultural relics, historical photos, and audio-visual historical materials. Everyone carefully listens to the explanation, occasionally pauses to examine, closely combines with the ongoing Party discipline learning and education, further deepens understanding, examines the original intention, and draws strength. The party program passed at the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China laid the foundation for the establishment of a disciplined party. Comrades from both regions stated that we must always put discipline and rules at the forefront, continuously strengthen strict discipline, practical work style, and honest conduct, and remain steadfast in our original aspirations and beliefs. We must strive for a new journey and make contributions to the new era with even greater fighting spirit. We should resolutely follow the decisions and deployment of the Central Committee, further plan and promote the work of counterpart support, and make greater contributions to the long-term stability and high-quality development of Xizang.
At the Xuhui District Administrative Service Center, the delegation inspected the government hall and urban transportation hall, listened to the introduction of the district’s urban transportation center’s promotion of refined urban management based on “one network unified management”, understood Shanghai’s practical exploration in comprehensively promoting urban digital transformation, and exchanged ideas on promoting digital governance and application scenario creation through technology empowerment. Everyone expressed that we should seize the opportunities of digitalization and intelligence, combine them with the actual development of the region, further strengthen mutual learning of experiences, improve governance capabilities and levels, and enable the people to have more sense of gain, happiness, and security.
Shanghai’s counterpart supports Shigatse, Xizang, always takes promoting national unity as an important task, focuses on the “just needs” of people’s livelihood such as education and medical care, and continues to consolidate the “group” aid mechanism and achievements. The delegation visited the employment representatives of college graduates from Xizang and the representatives of Xizang students studying in Shanghai, felt happy for their healthy growth and success, and thanked the school teachers for their efforts in cultivating students. Comrades from both regions expressed the need to further deepen and expand the connotation and scope of “group style” aid to Tibet, broaden educational assistance channels, increase talent cultivation efforts, strengthen cultural exchanges between Shanghai and Tibet, jointly create a model project of national unity, and strengthen the sense of community of the Chinese nation.
During their stay in Shanghai, the delegation also visited the Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Exhibition, inspected Yangpu Binjiang Public Space, Lujiazui Financial City, etc., and had in-depth exchanges and discussions on reform and opening up, science and technology innovation, industrial development, and people’s urban construction. Comrades from both regions mentioned that targeted support should continue to be focused on precision, enhancing hematopoietic function, and focusing on rallying people’s hearts. Guided by serving the major national strategy, we will empower each other in deepening opening-up, strengthen interaction in green and low-carbon development, and work together in ethnic exchanges and integration to promote cooperation between Shanghai and Tibet, expand new space, and continue to write new chapters.
