From May 12th to 13th, the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps delegation conducted an inspection in Shanghai. On the morning of the 13th, a symposium on paired support work for the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps in Shanghai was held. Chen Jining, Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, Gong Zheng, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, and Li Yifei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, attended the meeting to plan and promote paired support work, discuss exchange and cooperation plans between the two sides, and jointly serve the overall development of the country. At the meeting, the “Shanghai Municipal People’s Government Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Counterpart Support and Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement” was signed.

Shanghai has a deep connection with the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and the friendship is long-lasting. Accelerate the establishment of a matching support mechanism, innovate the industrial aid model for Xinjiang, enhance the local hematopoietic function, make good use of the experience of “group style” aid to Xinjiang, strengthen the exchange of cadres and talents, and better assist the long-term development of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. I hope to take the signing of the strategic cooperation framework agreement as an opportunity, with targeted support as the entry point, to deepen policy exchange, reform mutual learning, development interaction, and complementary advantages, and expand new space for exchanges and cooperation between the two sides. Empowering each other in deepening opening-up, deepening cooperation in optimizing energy structure, strengthening interaction in the development of advantageous industries, deepening coordination between green energy and green industries, exploring the construction of a green and low-carbon supply chain system, promoting more supply-demand linkage and production sales docking in agricultural products, tourism and leisure consumption, and better benefiting the people of both regions.
Li Yifei, on behalf of the Party Committee, Corps, cadres, and workers of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, expresses sincere gratitude to the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government, and the people of Shanghai for their selfless assistance. Chen Yujian, Deputy Mayor of Shanghai, and Ha Zengyou, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy Commander of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, respectively introduced the economic and social development of Shanghai and the Corps at the symposium, and signed an agreement on behalf of both sides.
During their stay in Shanghai, the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps delegation visited the Memorial Hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, visited the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and the Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Exhibition, inspected the Lujiazui Financial City and the integration of industry and city projects in Pudong, and visited enterprises and research and development platforms such as Shangtang Technology, Shanghai Pharmaceutical Xinyi, and the Central Research Institute of Shanghai Electric Group.
