On November 6th, Li Zhen, Deputy Director of the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and Head of the Central Enterprise Trading Group, attended the sub forum of the 8th Hongqiao International Economic Forum on “Enterprise Openness and Cooperation to Enhance the Resilience of Global Industrial and Supply Chains”. He stated that at the 8th CIIE, nearly 100 central enterprises organized more than 20000 people to participate in procurement, formed 58 professional groups for docking and consultation, and jointly attended this “two-way rush” event.
It is worth noting that the “Central Enterprise Procurement Corridor” composed of 14 central enterprises made its debut at this year’s CIIE. From the perspective of signed orders, the wider circle of friends, stronger innovation, and deeper links between production and supply chains have become the characteristics of central enterprise procurement this year, which has also improved the quality and added more value to the “Jinbo shopping cart”.
Entering the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai), the technical equipment exhibition area is full of popularity. The world’s first surface measurement film thickness gauge developed based on phase-locked photothermal infrared technology, Swiss Buller ion beam leveling, Irish Bison centrifugal air compressor… Sumida Hong Kong Limited, a subsidiary of China State Machinery Industry Corporation, joined hands with more than 100 high-end equipment brands from 20 countries and regions around the world to participate in the exhibition, bringing one global debut and six Chinese debut products.
The CIIE has built a key bridge for innovative technologies from ‘debut’ to ‘landing’, from ‘concept’ to ‘market’. We have seen more and more innovative products and technologies here, and are also committed to introducing high-quality resources into China, “the relevant person in charge of China National Machinery Industry Corporation told reporters.
On the one hand, world-class companies are busy launching new products, technologies, and services. On the other hand, 14 state-owned enterprises including CNOOC and Sinopec have settled in the procurement corridor, presenting their cooperation achievements and innovative cases with exhibitors in a visual way, and engaging in precise face-to-face communication and negotiation with exhibitors.
Global production and supply chains are more deeply connected, and central enterprises’ “CIIE shopping carts” continue to improve and upgrade their quality.
Importing oil and gas from Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan; Import barley and corn from Brazil and Argentina; Importing nickel iron, bauxite, copper concentrate and other mineral products from Indonesia, Guinea, Peru
Central enterprises not only import products from developed countries in Europe and the United States, but also steadily increase the scope and intensity of procurement in self built “the Belt and Road” countries (regions) and least developed countries (regions). It is estimated that the proportion of intended transactions this year will exceed 60%.
A wider circle of friends and a stronger sense of “new” – gathering the latest achievements of global technological innovation, focusing on products, technologies, and services that represent the development direction of new quality productivity.
For example, on November 6th, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) held the 8th CIIE China National Offshore Oil Forum and Global Procurement Signing Ceremony, with a signing amount exceeding 13 billion US dollars, setting a new record for the company’s single CIIE signing amount, covering products such as crude oil, natural gas, deepwater oil and gas equipment, advanced technology services, etc. The signing procurement structure continues to be optimized and upgraded.
At this CIIE, Sinopec also signed multiple procurement agreements with 34 partners from 17 countries and regions. In this signing, we have significantly increased our cooperation projects in technology, especially in the field of intelligence. Many technology products reflect the dual characteristics of AI empowerment and green low-carbon, which is in line with the overall trend of the energy and chemical industry’s transformation towards technological innovation and green development. ”Zhao Dong, General Manager of Sinopec, said.
Behind the transformation of the “Jinbo Shopping Cart” is that central enterprises are accelerating the cultivation of new quality productivity and working together with enterprises from various countries to promote the development of the global industrial chain and supply chain towards a more resilient, inclusive, green, and intelligent direction.
Li Zhen stated that currently, the centennial changes are accelerating, the global situation is complex and changing, and the international industrial division of labor pattern is undergoing profound adjustments. Consolidating and strengthening global industrial chain and supply chain cooperation is the interest and urgent expectation of all parties involved. The State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council will continue to guide and promote the strengthening of exchanges and cooperation between central enterprises and enterprises from various countries, work together to promote the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, expand open and win-win industrial cooperation space, create a good external environment for industry supply chain cooperation, and jointly maintain the stability and smoothness of the global industry supply chain.
“We are willing to work with enterprises from all over the world to consolidate and deepen practical cooperation in traditional fields such as equipment manufacturing, energy and electricity, promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence and traditional industries, and further advance the upgrading of the industrial base and the modernization of the industrial chain. We will foster and expand emerging industries and future industries, accelerate the development of strategic emerging industrial clusters such as new energy, new materials, and low altitude economy, explore and cultivate new industries, new formats, and new models in the fields of quantum technology, biological manufacturing, stimulate the momentum of cooperation, actively connect with the industrialization needs and development plans of the the Belt and Road countries, promote coordinated industrial development and open up new space for cooperation through factor sharing, chain extension, and value creation,” Li Zhen said.
Many companies are also taking action. The reporter learned from the forum that China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) will deepen practical cooperation with global partners in the construction of the oil and gas industry chain, green and low-carbon transformation, energy technology innovation, and other aspects for the “15th Five Year Plan”. It will continue to promote the increase of domestic oil and gas reserves and production, vigorously enhance international operational capabilities, continue to increase natural gas exploration and development efforts, vigorously develop offshore wind power business, orderly cultivate new businesses such as offshore CCS/CUS, cold energy utilization, hydrogen energy, green fuel, etc., strengthen scientific and technological research in deep water, low-permeability heavy oil, high temperature and high pressure fields, accelerate the deep integration of big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and other technologies with the company’s business, and jointly promote international energy cooperation towards a more open, inclusive, inclusive and win-win direction.
