The special exhibition of “China Congo Community of Shared Future” opens in Congo (Brazzaville)

Brazzaville, January 8 (Xinhua) — The “China Congo Community of Shared Future” themed art exhibition opened on the 8th in Brazzaville, the capital of Congo (Brazzaville). Lidi Pongo, Minister of Culture, Tourism, Art Industry and Entertainment of Congo, and An Qing, Chinese Ambassador to Congo (Brazzaville), attended the opening ceremony.

In his speech, Pongo said that the “China Congo Community of Shared Future” thematic art exhibition is the best interpretation of the friendly cooperation between Congo and China. He hopes that the two countries can use the bridge of cultural exchange to enhance mutual understanding and continuously deepen traditional friendship.

An Qing said that this activity opened the curtain of the “Year of People to People and Cultural Exchanges between China and Africa” in Congo (Brazzaville). Since the Beijing summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation in 2024, China and Congo have deepened people to people and cultural exchanges and cooperation around the “Ten Partnership Actions”. In 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Congo (Brazzaville) will hold a series of activities such as exhibitions, forums, dialogues, and film festivals under the framework of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation, further promoting cultural exchanges and mutual learning between the two countries, and consolidating the public opinion foundation of China Congo friendship.

It is reported that the “China Congo Community of Shared Future” themed art exhibition will showcase 23 award-winning works from the previously held “Impression of China Congo Cooperation” painting competition.
