The “Win Win Road of Jakarta Bandung High speed Railway” China Indonesia Friendship Story Conference is held in Jakarta

Jakarta, April 28 (Xinhua) — The “Win Win Road of Jakarta Bandung High speed Railway” China Indonesia Friendship Story Conference was held in Jakarta on the 28th. Chinese and Indonesian institutions, think tanks, enterprises, media, associations and other guests from various fields discussed the friendly friendship and cooperation prospects between the two countries.

The event invited 11 narrators to share their stories with the Yawan high-speed railway from five dimensions: technical standards, ecological protection, industrial economy, people to people connectivity, and capacity building. There are also high-speed train model exhibition areas, multimedia VR interactive experience areas, naked eye 3D displays, and Indonesian public Jakarta Bandung high-speed railway themed paintings and photography exhibitions at the event site.

In his speech, Chinese guests at the meeting said that the Yahwan high-speed railway is the flagship project of China Indonesia cooperation in the “the Belt and Road” initiative, and a gold lettered signboard of high-quality cooperation between the two countries. Since its opening and operation more than two years ago, the Jakarta Bandung high-speed railway has sent over 15 million passengers, becoming an important choice for Indonesian people’s travel and a vivid witness to the win-win cooperation and mutual understanding between the two countries. The story of the Jakarta Bandung high-speed railway is not only a crystallization of technology empowered development, but also a microcosm of the cultural exchange between China and Indonesia.

In his speech, Deviana, Chairman of Indonesia China High Speed Railway Co., Ltd., stated that the Jakarta Bandung high-speed railway is an important symbol of modern transportation in Indonesia and even Southeast Asia, and a true reflection of the strong cooperative relationship between Indonesia and China. The construction and operation of the Jakarta Bandung high-speed railway have brought extensive positive impacts, including promoting environmental protection, driving economic growth, accelerating regional development, and driving the development of multiple emerging tourist destinations along the Jakarta Bandung route.

This event is guided by the China Foreign Languages Administration, the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, and the Indonesian Embassy in China. It is hosted by the China Foreign Publishing and Distribution Center and jointly organized by China Railway International Limited, CRRC Sifang Co., Ltd., Indonesian State Railway Corporation, and Indonesia China High Speed Railway Co., Ltd.
