Xinhua News Agency, Yerevan, November 4 (Reporter Huang Zhouliang) Armenian Prime Minister Pashniyan said in Yerevan on the 4th that the “crossroads of peace” plan proposed and being promoted by Armenia is in line with the “the Belt and Road” initiative.
In response to questions from Xinhua News Agency reporters during the forum of “Aubrey 2025- Peace building and Multilateral Cooperation” held in Yerevan on the 4th, Pashniyan said that the “Peace Crossroads” plan and the “the Belt and Road” initiative help to link development projects in different countries and promote all parties to jointly discuss the docking and cooperation of development plans.
He said that in recent years, Armenia has adhered to a balanced foreign policy, seeking complementarity rather than conflict, and “we have confidence in building Armenia into a crossroads of peace”.
Not long ago, Pashnyan went to China to attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti Fascist War. During this period, the leaders of the two countries announced the establishment of a strategic partnership between China and Armenia. Pashnyan stated that the establishment of a strategic partnership between Armenia and China marks a new level in bilateral relations.
The “Orbeli 2025- Creating Peace and Multilateral Cooperation” forum is organized by the Orbeli Center, an Armenian think tank. The forum mainly discusses issues such as peace and security in the South Caucasus region and connectivity among countries in the region. Officials, experts, and scholars from more than 10 countries and multiple international organizations attended the forum. The forum will last from the 4th to the 6th.
