    On February 1st, the Ministry of Civil Affairs recently released four recommended industry standards, including the “Basic Norms for Family Elderly Care Bed Services”, “Safety Norms for Entertainment Services in Elderly Care Institutions”, “Norms for Entrusted Services in Elderly Care Institutions”, and “Norms for Visiting and Caring Services for the Elderly”, which will be implemented from today. These standards cover service institutions, service personnel, service recipients, service content, basic requirements, risk identification, service protection, evaluation and improvement of entertainment services provided by family elderly care beds.

  • On February 1st, the “Interim Measures for Supporting Youth Employment in Macao through the Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone” came into effect today. Eligible young people from Macau, aged between 18 and 45, who are employed in the cooperation zone, can apply for employment subsidies at a rate of RMB 4000 per person per month, with a maximum subsidy period of 36 months; Macao youth who have been employed in the cooperation zone and meet the conditions can apply for a one-time subsidy of 30% according to the relevant policy documents of Guangdong Province if they participate in the vocational skill level recognition organized by the registered social training evaluation organization announced by the Guangdong Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Department and obtain the corresponding certificate.

  • On February 1st, two sources familiar with the matter said that interim US prosecutor Ed Martin has fired approximately 30 federal prosecutors who have been handling the January 6th Capitol Hill riot case in his Washington D.C. office for the past four years.
