The 2024 China Brand Day event opened in Shanghai, with Zhang Guoqing and Chen Jining attending the launch ceremony and delivering a speech

The theme of this year’s China Brand Day is “Chinese brands, shared by the world; Chinese trendy brands, building the future with quality”.

On May 10th, Zhang Guoqing, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, attended the launch ceremony of the 2024 China Brand Day event in Shanghai and delivered a speech.

Zhang Guoqing stated that strengthening brand building is an inherent requirement for developing new quality productivity and promoting high-quality development.

Zhang Guoqing emphasized that China will unswervingly implement high-level opening-up to the outside world, continuously expand market access, treat domestic and foreign enterprises equally, welcome more world brands to come to China, share opportunities, develop together, and achieve mutual benefit.

The competitiveness and influence of Shanghai brands are important components of the construction of the “Five Centers”. We will consistently establish the “Four Major Brands” in Shanghai, focus on promoting brand quality and upgrading, continuously optimize the brand development environment, better serve brands and sail overseas, and continuously achieve new breakthroughs in brand construction. In line with the trend of industrial upgrading, consumption upgrading, and market upgrading, we will vigorously support new technologies, models, and formats, accelerate the development of new quality productivity, and enable more brands to stand out. Fully leverage the advantages of international consumer center cities, make good use of major platforms such as China International Import Expo and China Brand Day, continuously create a market-oriented, legal, and international first-class business environment, develop higher-level productive and professional service industries, and help more Chinese brands gain global reputation.
